Fans here drove hours to South Florida or out of state to get the festival experience. We decided that was worth fixing. The Region Was Ready Before the Festival Existed

When we looked closely at Central Florida, everything a major country festival needs was already in place except the festival itself. There is a strong country radio home in K92.3, which has served Orlando-area country fans for decades. There are live rooms with real history, from Cowboys Orlando, open since 1969, to Ole Red Orlando at ICON Park. There is a population base along the I-4 corridor that rivals major country markets anywhere in the South. What was missing was a single weekend that gathered all of it in one field. That absence was not a sign of weak demand. It was an opportunity nobody had claimed.

These are not arbitrary choices. Every decision, down to the date on the calendar, is made with the Central Florida fan in mind.

What We Are Actually Building

We are not trying to be Nashville’s CMA Fest or the beachfront spectacle of Fort Lauderdale’s Tortuga. We respect both, and we cover both, but we are building something rooted in this specific place. The vision is a festival where the experience comes first: a field designed for the music and the crowd, a lineup curated to reward both the die-hard and the newcomer, and an event-day flow shaped by people who have actually stood in festival fields and know what makes a day feel effortless instead of exhausting. We want the walk in to feel like arriving somewhere that was built for you, because it was. This is the largest country music festival in Central Florida, created from Central Florida, for Central Florida.

Who We Are Building It For

We are building this for the fan who has streamed country all year and never had a hometown festival to go to. For the family in Apopka, Kissimmee, or Lakeland who should not have to cross the state for a great country weekend. For the newcomer who got pulled in by a viral song this summer and wants to know where the community gathers. And for the artists who deserve a Central Florida stage worthy of the audience waiting here. Sunset Country Fest is the voice of country music in Central Florida, and this festival is the promise behind that voice made real.
